3 D cell view
3 D cell culture techniques provide spatial growth for anchorage dependent cells.
This system, as opposed to two-dimensional systems, provide cells to grow on any direction, like in living organisms.
Anchorage dependent cells grow on a 30 to 50 um think glass coated microwire supports. These supports are arranged parallel, horizontal forming an array of close filaments. This array is placed on a standard cell culture plate. The cells can be observed un der a laboratoy mciroscope. During the culture the culture medium can be changed, samples of culture medium can be taken for analysis or other substances can be added in order to study their effect.
