Description
Santoprene®*; 65 +/-5 Shore A; density = 0.97 g/cm³; light beige; compliant: FDA 21 CFR §177.2600, NSF51, global migration complies with EU 10/2011 and EG 1935/2004; very good chemical resistance to aqueous media, acids, bases and many organic solvents, especially ketones, esters, ethers and aldehydes; Temperature range -45 °C to +135 °C, short term +150 °C. Fatigue strength: approx. 30 million flexions (depending on dimension and device). 1200 hours of service life tested with 4.8×1.6 mm (OD=8.0) tubing in a 3-roller peristaltic pump at 150 rpm.
Particularly suitable for peristaltic pumps in the food industry, pharmacy and medicine.
Hoses are characterized by more performance and a longer service life than conventional elastomers ( NR , SBR, EPDM , chloroprene , NBR etc.).
