Description
They are used to detect small and very low gas (KFG) and liquid (KFF) flow rates. The fluid must be transparent to infrared light. The KFF / KFG 1000 Series is available in Ryton, Brass and PTFE materials and is therefore compatible with many applications in the industry.
The new 1000 series PTFE detector is supplied in series with an analog (0 to 5 VDC) and frequency output. For other models, the frequency output is optional. The KFF / KFG 3000 Series is available in Ryton or brass.
The devices work on the Pelton principle. The displaced fluid causes the rotation of a wheel. The rotational movement is converted via a photodiode into an electrical pulse. The value of the flow is then converted into a frequency or an analog signal.
