Description
The purpose of this bioréactor is to continuously pump the cell culture medium into the vessel from the bottom, lifting the cells up, accessing the vessel and, eventually, allowing cell seeding on the scaffold, with the help of an external peristaltic pump. It is a complete “plug and play” solution for tissue engineering, combining innovation, versatility, and ease of use.
The 4 main components of the bioreactor
- The base that allows both medium entry and exit thus, generates fluid dynamics suitable for efficient cell culture within the bioreactor chamber;
- The scaffold stand designed to accommodate constructs/scaffolds of different geometries and sizes, customisable by the client;
- The glass cylinder, allowing for constant visual inspection of the content;
- The cap is equipped with sampling ports for cell sampling and threaded supports for vent plugs.
