Thermostatic blocks allow heating and for some also cooling tubes or glass containers. They are widely used in the field of PCR (polymerase chain reaction). They can be used more generally for sample preparations and reactions requiring heating. The larger ones are also used for high temperature chemical reactions or to carry out évaporations.
