This manograph is a portable drum pressure recorder.
Recording occurs by a feather on a strip of paper surrounding a rotating drum. The rotational movement is produced by a battery powered engine or mechanical clockwork. These devices are also used for testing and leak testing in pipelines and aqueducts.
