Description
The black bodies of this series constitute a reference infrared source for the range 50 to 500 °C. They operate in absolute mode or in differential mode. They exhibit very high stability, and are particularly well suited for characterizing and validating the performance of a very wide range of infrared sensors, such as high resolution cameras for thermography and pyrometers. The black body emits a known amount of energy for an infinite number of wavelengths. The temperature is precisely controlled by a high precision PID controller.
The LBBH has an exceptionally high emissivity of 0.98 ± 0.02. It quickly reaches its target temperature, for example it goes from room temperature to +500 ° C in 45 minutes.
