Description
The black bodies of this series constitute a reference infrared source at low temperature. They operate in absolute mode or in differential mode. They exhibit very high stability, and are particularly well suited for characterizing and validating the performance of a very wide range of infrared sensors, such as high resolution cameras for thermography and pyrometers. The black body emits a known amount of energy for an infinite number of wavelengths. The temperature is precisely controlled by a high precision PID controller. It operates in heating and cooling mode (Peltier element).
The LBBCH has an exceptionally high emissivity of 0.98 ± 0.02. It quickly reaches its target temperature, for example it goes from room temperature to +100 ° C in 10 minutes.
