Description

The system allows the extraction of DNA and RNA from any type of sample using magnetic microbeads. The extraction process is fully automated.

After enzymatic digestion and solubilization of the lipids in a special solution, the negatively charged DNA is brought into contact with magnetic beads whose surface is positively charged. DNA will therefore cling to the surface of these beads. The solution is removed while the DNA remains attached to the beads held by a magnet. The beads are then put back into another solution in order to neutralize their charges and the DNA is then released into the liquid.

The device allows you to program each step of the extraction.

For example: fixation of magnetic beads, lysis, wash 1, wash 2, elution, deposition of magnetic beads
