The measurement of the conductivity of a solution depends on the quantity of dissolved ions. It is measured in mS \/ cm. Sometimes it is preferable to express it in dissolved solids per unit of volume (TDS mg \/ l = 0.5 x 1000 x conductivity mS \/ cm).
