Grundlage der Dichtemessung ist die Bestimmung der Schwingungsdauer eines durch Elektromagneten angeregten Biegeschwingers. Dieser sog. Biegeschwinger ist als U-f\u00f6rmig gebogenes Rohr ausgef\u00fchrt und wird vom Me\u00dfmedium kontinuierlich durchflossen. Die Eigenfrequenz des U-Rohres wird somit nur von der Dichte des im U-Rohr befindlichen Me\u00dfmediums beeinflu\u00dft und \u00fcber die gemessene Frequenz ermittelt. Die Temperaturabh\u00e4ngigkeit der Dichte wird dabei durch eine zus\u00e4tzliche elektronische Temperaturmessung mittels Pt1000 kompensiert.
