Viscosimeters measure the viscosity of a fluid. The most conventional rheometers measure the force exerted on a moving part (for example a cylinder) driven by a motor. This force increases with viscosity. For very small samples you will find a flow viscometer. The viscosity is determined by a pressure measurement at the outlet of a syringe.
